House Majority PAC is an independent-expenditure only committee (often called a “Super PAC”) that is designed to hold Republicans accountable and help win back the House Majority for Democrats. House Majority PAC is committed to building a long-term organization that can take on the Republican outside groups in the battle for the House Majority.

After its inception in April 2011, House Majority PAC wasted no time initiating a paid media campaign to hold Republicans to account for their extreme policies that take our country in the wrong direction.

The following month, House Majority PAC spent nearly $400,000 on the NY-26 special election to educate voters on the Republican’s support for the House Republicans’ radical budget that not only ends Medicare as we know it, but also increases the national debt by providing giveaways to millionaires and big oil companies. The issue became a defining one in the election and helped bring Democrat Kathy Hochul to Congress.

With this upset victory in a very Republican district, House Majority PAC made clear we will aggressively go after House Republicans’ extreme agenda, we will fight back against the powerful voices on the right – and we will win.

Since then, we have run advertising in 21 districts and coordinated with our progressive allies to win special elections and educate voters on the radical Republican agenda.

Our ads have been called “most memorable” and “devastatingly effective.”
