House Majority PAC Launches $2.4 Million Ad Buy Against Joe Walsh, Illinois Republicans

In a new ad paid for by the Democratic House Majority PAC and labor union SEIU, Reps. Judy Biggert (R-Ill.) and Bob Dold (R-Ill.) are accused of "hiding behind Joe Walsh's loud talk." The ad will run in heavy rotation for two weeks.

Democrats are trying to make Rep. Joe Walsh (R-Ill.), one of Congress' most outspoken members, a liability for his fellow Republicans stuck in tight Illinois congressional races.

"Judy Biggert and Bob Dold voted with Walsh against mortgage relief and to give tax cuts to millionaires," says the narrator in the spot, after a clip showing Walsh yelling, "Don't blame banks!"

The ad also features Walsh at a recent town hall, where he said women's rights activist Sandra Fluke should "go get a job."

"Dold and Biggert voted with Walsh against affordable contraceptives and cancer screenings," says the narrator.

Walsh is locked in a tight race against Democrat Tammy Duckworth. Dold is running against Brad Schneider, and Biggert is up against Bill Foster. Democrats have targeted all three Republican seats as top targets.

House Majority PAC will also launch two separate ads against just Biggert and Dold. The former ad will begin running on Tuesday, while the latter will start next week. The super PAC plans to spend $2.4 million running the three ads.
