House Majority PAC is launching two new television ads in Democratic districts Tuesday, as the pace of House advertising starts to pick up with just 10 weeks left until Election Day.

House Majority PAC is launching two new television ads in Democratic districts Tuesday, as the pace of House advertising starts to pick up with just 10 weeks left until Election Day.

The Democratic-aligned super PAC is backing Reps. Jim Matheson, D-Utah, and Mike McIntyre, D-N.C., with a pair of two-week buys for ads attacking their Republican opponents. The spot in North Carolina's 7th District hits Republican nominee David Rouzer on similar lines as the ads we've seen from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee thus far, calling Rouzer a lobbyist planning to voucherize Medicare. The commercial in Utah's 4th District tags Republican Saratoga Springs Mayor Mia Love for taking a pay raise as mayor and voting for property tax increases during her time on the city council.

The two-week buys cost House Majority PAC approximately $200,000 in Salt Lake City and $65,000 in Wilmington, N.C.

The airwaves are already starting to get crowded in both districts. In North Carolina, McIntyre and the National Republican Congressional Committee have already launched a pair of TV ads each, and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is also airing an ad there. Meanwhile, the NRCC just began broadcasting its first negative ad against Matheson in Utah, joining a positive ad the Love campaign put on the air and a spot from the American Chemistry Council backing Matheson. Already, local observers are predicting the Matheson-Love race could be the most expensive the state has ever seen.
