MN-08: House Majority PAC Congratulates Rick Nolan

Washington, D.C. – House Majority PAC congratulated Representative Rick Nolan on his reelection in Minnesota’s Eighth Congressional District.
“Rick Nolan faced down relentless attacks and smears by his opponent and Republican groups and secured another tremendous victory for Minnesota,” said House Majority PAC Executive Director Alixandria Lapp. “House Majority PAC is proud to have played a role in making sure Rick Nolan can continue his great work in Washington standing up for Minnesota’s middle-class families.”
Knowing that MN-08 had seen close, competitive races in recent elections and with a self-funding multi-millionaire Republican challenger running, spending heavily to rebrand himself and smear Nolan, House Majority PAC made MN-08 a top, early priority. The group polled in August and found a close race with Stewart Mills having a slight lead. HMP went on air that same month with an ad pushing back against Mills’ misleading attempts to cover up his image as a self-interested multi-millionaire. The group continued with a large-scale media campaign in the fall which included three additional TV ads highlighting Mills’ out-of-touch positions with the district, targeted direct-mail, and radio advertising.
