Three New Ads From House Majority PAC Continue Drumbeat On Out Of Touch GOP Candidates In IL-12, MA-06, NY-01

THREE NEW ADS FROM HOUSE MAJORITY PAC CONTINUE DRUMBEAT ON OUT OF TOUCH GOP CANDIDATES IN IL-12, MA-06, NY-01

Washington, D.C. – House Majority PAC today rolled out three new TV ads in IL-12, MA-06 and NY-01 hitting Republican candidates for being out of touch with mainstream values.

IL-12 – “Our Choice” presents the choice for voters in Illinois’ 12th District between Republican Jason Plummer, who backs lower taxes on big corporations and millionaires paid for by ending the Medicare guarantee and forcing seniors to pay more, and Democrat Bill Enyart, who believes in protecting Medicare and lowering taxes on small businesses. The spot begins running today and will air in Paducah through election day as part of a $125,000 buy.

MA-06 – “False Start” shows just how out of touch Richard Tisei is with Massachusetts voters. After all, Tisei called the Tea Party agenda to end Medicare as we know it in order to finance another tax break for millionaires “a good starting point” and even said the Tea Party was a “godsend.” The ad will run in Boston for a week beginning today as part of a $320,000 buy.

NY-01 – “Person” hits outsourcing pioneer Randy Altschuler for making outlandish and out of touch claims. Altschuler argued he’s concerned about creating jobs on Long Island but his company helped outsource American jobs. Altschuler said his company had a Long Island office but Newsday reported that no one works there. And, showing exactly how out of step Altschuler is, he even said about workers outside the United States, “In India, you get a much higher standard of person.” “Person” begins airing today on cable systems in New York and will run through election day as part of a $500,000 buy.

HOUSE MAJORITY PAC LAUNCHES AD HITTING RANDY “OUTSOURCER” ALTSCHULER

Washington, D.C. – House Majority PAC announced that it will begin running an ad hitting Randy Altschuler over his record as an outsourcing pioneer as well as his support for gutting Medicare and forcing seniors to pay up to $6,400 more a year for care.

The spot, entitled “Anything,” begins running on New York cable systems today and will run for two weeks as part of a $260,000 buy.

“Anything” can be viewed here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TQwJ96laTh8.

“First Randy Altschuler made millions shipping American jobs overseas and now he wants to gut Medicare and force seniors to pay up to $6,400 more a year for the same care,” said Alixandria Lapp, Executive Director of House Majority PAC. “It’s clear Altschuler’s got the wrong values for New York.”

House Majority PAC/SEIU Poll Finds Tim Bishop Leading Randy Altschuler By Double-Digit Margin

July 24, 2012

Washington, D.C. – A new poll conducted for House Majority PAC and SEIU found that Democrat Tim Bishop leads Republican Randy Altschuler by a sizeable 24-point margin, 56 to 32 percent.

The poll, conducted by the Garin-Hart-Yang Research Group, also found that Bishop has a substantially higher favorability rating than does Altschuler, particularly among independent voters who give Bishop a “positive” rating more than twice that of Altschuler. Congressman Bishop even maintains his double-digit lead after survey respondents were presented with positive descriptions of each candidate.

An analysis memo is available here: http://www.thehousemajoritypac.com/images/NY-01-poll-memo_FINAL.pdf

“One thing’s for sure,” said Alixandria Lapp, Executive Director of House Majority PAC. “With Congressman Bishop working hard to protect and create jobs on Long Island, voters are clearly rejecting outsourcing pioneer Randy Altschuler’s efforts to export American jobs overseas.”

The poll of 407 likely voters in NY-01 was conducted July 17-18. It has a margin of error of 4.9 percent.
