September 29, 2020

NJ-07 (Kean)

House Majority PAC announced today it is launching two ads in New Jersey’s 7th District, hitting Tom Kean Jr. for his work to prevent efforts that would lower premiums, stop surprise medical bills and protect coverage for New Jersey’s families. He opposed bills that would protect coverage for preexisting conditions and reduce the cost of prescription drugs. All while taking nearly a million dollars in campaign contributions from the insurance, pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.

The ads are linked below, alongside the scripts. The ads will run on New York City cable and are supported by nearly $1.5 million.

Pure”
TV :30

He’s not very slick.
But Tom Kean Jr’s actions…pure Washington…called vile and sleazy.
Kean’s taken nearly a million dollars from the pharmaceutical, healthcare and insurance industries.
And in Trenton, when efforts to lower premiums, stop surprise medical bills and protect coverage for New Jersey families came up… Kean opposed all three.
Vile…sleazy.
Tom Kean, Jr.’s the worst of Trenton and DC.

Clear
TV :30

Tom Kean Jr’s trying hard to say the right words, hoping you don’t notice.
He’s taken almost a million dollars from big drug, health and insurance industries
And that he sides with them, refusing to protect health coverage people rely on
Even opposed the law protecting people with pre-existing conditions, but won’t lower drug prices.
Tom Kean Jr. sided with drug and insurance companies during a pandemic.
New Jersey hears that loud and clear.

SC-01 (Mace)

House Majority PAC is launching a new ad in South Carolina’s 1st District highlighting Nancy Mace’s dismal record of failing to oppose a permanent ban on offshore drilling and allowing polluters to put harmful chemicals in the Lowcountry’s drinking water.

The ad is available here and the script is below. It will run in the Charleston market and is supported by a budget of $480,000.

“Belong”
TV :30

Our water is a way of life … and some things just don’t belong.
Like drilling off our coastline and toxic chemicals in our rivers.
But Nancy Mace opposed legislation to permanently ban offshore drilling and got $25,000 from special interests–including those that want to let dangerous chemicals seep into our rivers.
Nancy Mace doesn’t belong representing the Lowcountry in Washington.

NJ-02 (Van Drew)

House Majority PAC will launch a new ad on September 30th hitting Jeff Van Drew for his record of saying one thing to constituents in New Jersey, then going to Washington and doing the exact opposite. From switching parties to opposing tax relief for homeowners and federal relief for COVID, it’s clear that voters in the 2nd District can’t trust Jeff Van Drew to fight for them.

The ad is available here and the script is copied below. It will run in Philadelphia and is supported by a budget of $930,000.

“Crafted”

TV :30

He spent years artfully crafting an image.
Turns out, that Jeff Van Drew’s just a fake.
Bailing on promises and selling out New Jersey.
Raising money from lobbyists and corporations, even switching parties…trying to save his own job.
While opposing tax cuts for homeowners, and COVID relief for New Jersey families and small businesses.
With Jeff Van Drew, don’t trust what you see.

TX-07 (Hunt)

House Majority PAC is launching its first ads in Texas’ 7th District, aimed at informing voters about Wesley Hunt’s dangerous support for Donald Trump on health care. As the Supreme Court prepares to hear arguments from Trump’s administration that would overturn the Affordable Care Act and eliminate protections for patients with pre-existing conditions, it’s increasingly important for voters to understand exactly what’s at stake with someone like Wesley Hunt running for Congress.

The ad is available here and the script is below. The ad will run in Houston and is supported by a budget of $1.5 million.

“Problem”
TV :30

Wesley Hunt said he was “proud” to be endorsed by Donald Trump.
And he agrees with him “on a lot of things.”
Uh, oh, Houston. We’ve got a problem.
Hunt said, “We need to fully repeal Obamacare.”
With no real plan to replace it… During the middle of a pandemic.
Eliminating protections for pre-existing conditions and allowing insurance companies to charge older Texans an “age tax” on health care.
Hunt and Trump. Bad for your health.
