Bill Foster Leading Judy Biggert In New House Majority PAC Poll

October 22, 2012

Washington, D.C. – Democrat Bill Foster is leading Republican Judy Biggert by a margin of 49-45 percent in Illinois’ competitive 11th District, according to a new House Majority PAC poll.

Importantly, Foster is ahead of Biggert with independents by 10 points, 49-39 percent, and is seen more favorably by voters compared to Biggert, whose negative ratings have increased dramatically.

President Obama leads Mitt Romney 51-46 percent in this district.

An analysis memo from the polling firm, Garin-Hart-Yang Research, is available .

House Majority PAC is heavily invested in the competitive Chicagoland House contests. House Majority PAC, in conjunction with SEIU, spent $2.4 million airing three TV ads hitting Biggert as well as Bob Dold and Joe Walsh, including “Loud,” which simultaneously takes all three members to task. House Majority PAC also aired this spot hitting Biggert specifically.

“The more Illinois voters hear about Judy Biggert’s votes in lockstep with the Republican, right-wing agenda that guts Medicare, forcing seniors to pay more for the same care, and gives tax cuts to millionaires and companies that ship American jobs overseas the less there is to like,” said Alixandria Lapp, Executive Director of House Majority PAC.
