A Washington, D.C.-based super PAC trying to elect more Democrats to the U.S. House of Representatives is upping its efforts in Iowa’s 3rd Congressional District with a new TV ad against U.S. Republican Rep. David Young.
The House Majority PAC will spend nearly $200,000 to air a 30-second TV spot in the Des Moines media market for two weeks beginning Tuesday, Hannah Blatt, press secretary for House Majority PAC, told the Des Moines Register.
The ad, “Paints,” shows different shots of Young while a man’s voice-over criticizes the Republican lawmaker’s vote last year that approved federal tax cuts.
