Digital Ad Campaign Holds Republicans Responsible for Ryan Agenda

April 23, 2018

Washington, DC – Today, House Majority PAC launched a digital ad campaign slamming Republican Members of Congress for having enabled Paul Ryan and his disastrous economic agenda against the middle class. Versions of the ad, titled “Enabling Ryan,” will target Congressmen Kevin Yoder (KS-03), Andy Barr (KY-06), and Bruce Poliquin (ME-02). These Republican Congressmen have cast multiple votes to make Ryan Speaker as well as repeatedly voted for his damaging agenda. Ryan is leaving behind a toxic legacy that includes a healthcare bill which would impose an unfair “Age Tax” on older Americans and a tax bill that benefits the ultra-wealthy at the expense of the middle class. Ryan is also looking for an opportunity to make cuts to Medicare a reality.

“Time and time again, these Republican Members of Congress have enabled Paul Ryan and his disastrous agenda against the middle class,” said House Majority PAC Communications Director Jeb Fain. “Ryan may not be on the ballot in Wisconsin, but he’s going to cast a lanky shadow over House Republicans who are on the ballot in districts across the country this November. From Paul Ryan’s punishing ‘Age Tax’ on older Americans to his tax scam that benefits the ultra-rich at the expense of the middle class, to his stated intention to cut Medicare, these Republicans have made it all possible and will be held accountable for the toxic legacy Ryan is leaving behind.”
