HMP Ad Exposes Career Politician Hultgren to IL-14 Voters

October 3, 2018

Washington, DC – Today, House Majority PAC launched a new TV ad exposing Randy Hultgren as a career politician who after 20 years in Springfield and Washington has taken over half a million dollars from the insurance industry while voting to increase the insurance premiums of his constituents.

The ad highlights Hultgren’s toxic health care record – voting for higher costs that hurt hardworking Illinois families. Hultgren’s vote for the disastrous health care plan would have ended protections for people living with pre-existing conditions and imposed a punishing “Age Tax” on older Americans. According to AARP, the “Age Tax” would allow insurance companies to charge older Americans up to five times more than younger consumers.

Stop” begins running on cable today in the Chicago media market with a buy of approximately $887,000 behind it.

”Randy Hultgren has revealed his true colors – he’s only looking out for himself and his special interest donors,” said House Majority PAC Press Secretary Hannah Blatt. “Hultgren is just another career politician who voted against Illinois families by dramatically increasing their health care costs and making it harder to get quality coverage. After 20 years as a politician, it’s time for voters to stand up and tell Randy Hultgren that they’ve had enough of him and his harmful agenda.”
