HMP Ad Spotlights Roskam’s Record of Raising Taxes & Hurting Illinois Families
October 3, 2018
Washington, DC – Today, House Majority PAC launched a new TV ad spotlighting Peter Roskam’s record of raising taxes and increasing health care costs for hardworking Illinois families.
Roskam voted for the toxic Trump tax plan that raises taxes on the middle class, causes health care costs to skyrocket and adds $1.9 trillion to the deficit. To pay for it, Roskam and Washington Republicans plan to cut $500 billion from Medicare.
“Check Up” begins running today in the Chicago media market with a buy of approximately $1.9 million behind it.
”After 11 years in Washington, it’s clear that Peter Roskam isn’t looking out for his constituents,” said House Majority PAC Press Secretary Hannah Blatt. “Instead, Roskam blindly follows his party leadership to advance an agenda that sticks hardworking Illinois families with the bill – raising their taxes and increasing their health care costs. Illinois voters can’t afford another two years of Peter Roskam and his track-record of putting his party ahead of the middle class.”
