HMP Continues Early Media Campaign by Slamming Tenney on “Age Tax”
May 1, 2018
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, House Majority PAC launched a second TV ad slamming Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (NY-22) for her disastrous healthcare bill, which would impose a devastating “Age Tax.” The TV spot titled “Here” will air in the Binghamton media market, and versions of the ad will run on digital platforms across the district.
This is part of HMP’s early media campaign that was announced in mid-April. The first TV spot titled “Noise” also slammed Tenney for her disastrous healthcare vote, and ran in the Binghamton media market as well as on digital platforms across the district.
Claudia Tenney has taken hundreds of thousands of dollars from special interests and voted for the American Health Care Act (AHCA), which according to the AARP would impose a devastating “Age Tax” on older Americans. The “Age Tax” would allow insurance companies to charge people aged 50-64 up to five times more than younger consumers.
“Upstate voters are learning the truth about Congresswoman Tenney’s terrible voting record,” said House Majority PAC Communications Director Jeb Fain. “Time and time again, Tenney has chosen to prioritize herself and special interests over the people she was supposed to represent. In fact, she sold hardworking Upstate families out by voting for the disastrous GOP healthcare bill that hurts the middle class and imposes a devastating ‘Age Tax.’ HMP will continue to hold Tenney accountable for this unforgivable vote.”
