HMP Launches Ad Targeting Rod Blum on Ethics Violation

April 5, 2018

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, House Majority PAC launched a digital ad in IA-01 slamming Congressman Rod Blum for his recent ethics violation. Blum put his profits over constituents by failing to disclose his involvement in a shady company that misleads consumers and puts people’s health and safety at risk.

“Congressman Rod Blum doesn’t want to drain the swamp; instead, he tries to profit from it,” said House Majority PAC Press Secretary Hannah Blatt. “Now, Blum’s swimming in his own ethical mess by putting himself and his profits over the health and safety of consumers. Iowans deserve far better, and HMP will make sure that voters in Iowa don’t forget Blum’s ethical lapse.”

In February, the Associated Press reported that Congressman Rod Blum broke House ethics rules by failing to disclose an ownership role in the Tin Moon Corp., which helps companies hide their Food and Drug Administration (FDA) warning letters from consumers.
