HMP Launches Ads in MN-02 and MN-08 Holding Jason Lewis and Pete Stauber Accountable
October 23, 2018
Washington, DC – Today, House Majority PAC launched two new TV ads in MN-02 and MN-08. HMP is spending a total of approximately $1.2 million across both districts.
“It’s simple, Congressman Jason Lewis and Pete Stauber are just two more career politicians who look out for themselves and the special interests that pad their campaign coffers,” said House Majority PAC Press Secretary Hannah Blatt. “Whether as a Congressman or a County Commissioner, both Lewis and Stauber have a history of raising health care costs on hardworking Minnesota families. They both wholeheartedly back the toxic Washington agenda that hurts the middle class – raising our taxes, adding to the debt, and cutting Social Security and Medicare to pay for it. Voters can’t afford to send Jason Lewis or Pete Stauber to Congress.”
Jason Lewis has become a typical politician taking over $1 million from special interests and voting against Minnesota families. He voted for the GOP tax plan that gives massive benefits to the ultra-rich while raising taxes on the middle class and adding nearly $2 trillion to the national debt. To pay for it, Washington politicians want to make massive cuts to Medicare and Social Security.
“All Washington” begins running on broadcast today in the Minneapolis media market with a buy of approximately $640,000.
Pete Stauber has a record of voting to increase health care premiums while on the St. Louis County Board of Commissioners, and now he wants to go to Washington where he’d support a toxic tax plan and higher health care costs. According to the AARP, the plan will raise costs for older Americans by up to $1500. It will also raise taxes on the middle class and add nearly $2 trillion to the debt, and to pay for it, Washington politicians intend to raid Medicare and Social Security.
“Highest” begins running on broadcast today in the Minneapolis media market with a buy of approximately $580,000 behind it.
