HMP Launches Billboards Holding House Republicans Accountable on Tax Scam

December 18, 2017

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, House Majority PAC launched three holiday billboards in MI-08, MN-02 and NY-24 slamming Reps. Bishop, Lewis and Katko for supporting a toxic tax scam. The tax scheme gives massive tax cuts to the ultra-rich at the expense of hardworking families.

The billboard targeting Congressman Jason Lewis (MN-02) will run for two weeks while the billboards targeting Congressman Mike Bishop (MI-08) and Congressman John Katko (NY-24) will run for four weeks.

The tax scam would increase taxes for middle-class families while cutting taxes for the ultra-rich. This scam eliminates or reduces critical deductions that hardworking Americans rely on. The billboards will direct constituents to a new website www.GOPTaxScheme.com  where they can learn how the tax scam hurts hardworking families across the country.

“HMP is making sure that voters know the facts about the Republicans’ toxic tax scam,” said House Majority PAC Executive Director Charlie Kelly. “These members of Congress are bringing their constituents a horrible holiday gift. This tax scam amounts to massive tax cuts for the ultra-rich while hardworking middle-class Americans will see their tax bill increase. The American people deserve far better from their Representatives, and we’ll continue to hold them accountable for their unforgivable votes.”
