HMP Poll: Lindsay James Leads in IA-02

Washington, D.C. – A new House Majority PAC poll of Iowa’s 2nd Congressional District, conducted by Global Strategy Group from July 14-19, finds Democratic candidate Lindsay James leading Republican candidate Joe Mitchell.
Key findings from HMP’s poll include:
- The generic ballot is tied: In a generic congressional matchup, the ballot is tied at 45%.
- Lindsay James leads Joe Mitchell in the initial head-to-head: In an initial head-to-head matchup, James leads Mitchell 46% to 45%.
- Trump’s favorable rating is underwater: Only 44% of IA-02 voters have a favorable view of Donald Trump, and 53% have an unfavorable view.
