HMP Statement On Passage Of House GOP’s Ryan Look-Alike Budget

WASHINGTON, DC – House Majority PAC Executive Director Charlie Kelly issued the following statement regarding Speaker Paul Ryan (WI-01) and House Republicans’ passage of a budget that will hurt hardworking middle-class families across the country.

“This budget shows just how out-of-touch Speaker Ryan and the House GOP are with the needs of hardworking Americans. It calls for deep cuts to essential programs that many people depend on, like Medicare and Medicaid, and proposes massive tax breaks for the wealthy.  Millions of Americans across the country will be hurt by this extreme plan, and Speaker Ryan and the GOP should be ashamed of playing politics with people’s lives. It’s long overdue for the GOP to pass a budget that lifts up the middle class, not penalizes them.”
