HMP Statement on Trump’s Nomination of Kavanaugh to SCOTUS

WASHINGTON, DC – House Majority PAC Communications Director Jeb Fain issued the following statement on President Trump’s nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court:

 “Make no mistake – Brett Kavanaugh is another far-right, anti-choice ideologue whom the American people cannot afford on our highest court. With this nomination this evening – the importance of electing a Democratic House of Representatives has become all the more critical. For the sake of women’s fundamental rights, for the sake of LGBTQ rights, for the sake of health care, for the sake of voting rights, for the sake of working families, and for the sake of our very democracy – we must elect a House that will serve as a crucial check on Trump’s extreme agenda. Democrats are going to draw clear contrasts on these important issues against Republican Members and candidates in House districts across the country.”
