Six-figure Ad Buy Begins Running Today

Washington, D.C. – House Majority PAC today announced that it will begin running an ad targeting Nan Hayworth and her Tea Party values.

The ad, entitled “Wrong Party,” begins airing today.

“Nan Hayworth’s support for the extreme Tea Party agenda puts Hayworth way outside the New York mainstream,” said Alixandria Lapp, Executive Director of House Majority PAC. “Not only does Hayworth support defunding Planned Parenthood and going back to the days when being a woman was a preexisting condition, but she even voted to let insurance companies deny women access to birth control, mammograms and cancer screenings.”

House Majority PAC’s recent polling in this race shows it to be a dead heat. In the initial head to head, Maloney was essentially tied with Hayworth. But after survey respondents heard balanced, positive paragraph about each candidate, Democrat Sean Patrick Maloney pulled ahead by six points.

The NY-18 ad announced today is part of a new $2.2 million spending initiative from House Majority PAC that includes ads in six districts nationwide.
