House Majority PAC, AFSCME Launch Spot Hitting Tarkanian In NV-04

October 11, 2012

Washington, D.C. – House Majority PAC and AFSCME today announced that the groups will jointly air an ad hitting Republican Danny Tarkanian for being out of touch with Nevadans. Tarkanian backs Social Security privatization, supports letting insurance companies discriminate against women and deny access to birth control and wants to extend the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy which will add $800 billion to the deficit.

The spot, entitled “How Far,” will run for two weeks in Las Vegas as part of a six-figure buy.

“How Far” can be viewed here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zsisNlCUAEU.

“Danny Tarkanian is far out of touch with Nevada voters,” said Alixandria Lapp, Executive Director of House Majority PAC. “After all, Tarkanian supports letting insurance companies discriminate against women and deny access to birth control and even wants to privatize Social Security, risking guaranteed retirement benefits on Wall Street.”

“Danny Tarkanian puts wall street, insurance companies and corporations over Nevada’s middle class families.  His out of touch policies from privatizing social security to forcing women to pay more for health insurance is a prescription for disaster for all Nevadans,” said Seth Johnson AFSCME Assistant Political Director.
