Washington, D.C. – Today, House Majority PAC released its first TV ad in the race for New Jersey’s Fifth Congressional District. The ad, titled, “Quotes,” takes Republican Congressman Scott Garrett to task for supporting discrimination against LGBT Americans. “Quotes” amplifies concerns raised about Garrett by New Jersey newspapers and spotlights how multiple businesses have distanced themselves from Garrett in light of his bigotry.

The ad will air on cable throughout New Jersey’s Fifth Congressional District beginning today.
“With his blatant bigotry, Congressman Garrett has embarrassed not just himself, but also New Jersey,” said House Majority PAC Communications Director Jeb Fain. “Newspapers, businesses, and everyday citizens are taking a stand against Garrett’s shameless, bigoted rhetoric and record. This summer, House Majority PAC will be making sure as many voters as possible know the facts about Congressman Garrett’s hateful agenda.”
