House Majority PAC and AFT Solidarity Release New Ad in CA-21

October 7, 2016

Washington, D.C. – Today, House Majority PAC and AFT Solidarity announced that they are jointly releasing an ad in CA-21, titled “Absolutely,” presenting the choice for CA-21 voters between Democrat Emilio Huerta and Republican Congressman David Valadao. The ad reminds voters that Valadao said he would absolutely support Donald Trump for president and that Trump and Valadao would slash education funding. The ad also spotlights Huerta’s record of fighting for hardworking families and his commitment to investing in education, health care, and job creation in the Central Valley.

“Absolutely” can be viewed online here.

“Given their shared anti-education agenda, it’s no wonder Congressman Valadao said he would ‘absolutely’ support Donald Trump for president,” said House Majority PAC Executive Director Alixandria Lapp. “Emilio Huerta is a lifelong fighter for hard-working Californians with a proven commitment to serving the needs of Central Valley families. For CA-21 voters, the choice for president and for Congress couldn’t be more clear.”

“Emilio Huerta will be a strong advocate for education and for working families,” said Randi Weingarten, President of the American Federation of Teachers. “A lifelong resident of Kern County, Huerta is intimately familiar with the struggles of working families. His work for the United Farm Workers Union and his deep involvement in the community are reasons why he will fight to strengthen public education and ensure all of our students graduate from high school with the skills to enter college or a career.”

The ad will air as part of an approximately $390,000 reservation on TV in the Bakersfield and Fresno media markets.
