House Majority PAC Announces Lone Star Fund

Washington, D.C. – House Majority PAC is launching a Lone Star Fund for the 2026 election cycle to fight back against the wave of extreme Republican gerrymandering. 

As Trump’s approval numbers continue tanking, it’s clear that Republicans are in full-blown panic mode over their razor-thin House majority. They know they can’t win on a level playing field, so they’re resorting to extreme gerrymandering in a desperate attempt to rig the system in their favor –– but the reality is that they are opening themselves up to an electoral disaster. 

Every indicator points to a 2026 political landscape tilting toward Democrats—from consistent overperformance in special elections to polling that shows the GOP’s signature legislation is deeply unpopular to historical trends favoring the party out of power in midterms.

HMP is prepared for this moment and ready to fight back, with a plan to raise upwards of $20 million in order to recruit and support competitive Democratic candidates in districts across Texas as Republicans bend the knee to Jeffrey Epstein’s best friend.

The Lone Star Fund is a program designed to flip Republican-held seats in gerrymandered districts and hold the GOP accountable.

Our all-of-the-above strategy includes:

• Expanding our Recruitment Fund to ensure that we are able to effectively contest Republican held seats – especially against those GOP incumbents who have not run a competitive race in years.  
• Digital, streaming services, broadcast, and direct mail advertising to reach and persuade low information voters 
• Additional funding towards early and frequent communication with Hispanic voters to turn the tide on recent Republican gains.
• Investing in partnerships with content creators who can credibly communicate with our target audiences
• Rapid response message development and media consumption research
• Voter registration and mobilization efforts tailored to mobilize and persuade voters disenfranchised by gerrymandered maps 

This massive investment will ensure that House Democrats have the resources to compete and win—even in districts manipulated to dilute the power of the voters. 

Even the most extreme GOP gerrymanders won’t protect vulnerable Republicans from their toxic record of cutting health care, raising costs for working families, and shielding the elite and pedophiles.
