August 11, 2016

Washington, D.C. – Today, House Majority PAC announced the release of a new ad, titled “Maine First,” in the race for Maine’s Second Congressional District. The ad features registered Maine Guide Ray Wirth who discusses Democratic candidate Emily Cain’s deep connection to her state and strong record in the state legislature as a champion for Mainers.

“Maine First” can be viewed online here.

The ad will begin airing in the Bangor and Portland media markets, tomorrow, Friday, August 12, as part of a more than $700,000 airtime buy in the district. HMP also previously additionally reservedclose to $600,000 in the Portland media market and more than $300,000 in the Bangor media market for later this fall.

“While Congressman Poliquin has looked out for Wall Street interests in Washington and millionaires like himself, Emily Cain has always put Maine first,” said House Majority PAC Communications Director Jeb Fain. “ME-02 voters deserve better than Poliquin’s self-interested politics. In Congress, Emily Cain will do what she’s done time and time again in Maine, stand with and stand up for her state’s hardworking families.”

House Majority PAC has made ME-02 an early priority this cycle. Last fall, the group ran two TV ads in the district taking on Poliquin – “Follow the Money” and “Lumberjack.”
