House Majority PAC is out with a new TV ad linking GOP Rep. David Jolly to Donald Trump, a day after a contentious presidential debate, as the Democratic super PAC expands its spending in Florida.
Jolly, who faces Republican-turned-Democratic former Gov. Charlie Crist, recently released an internal poll showing a tied race, though Crist also released internals showing him with leads of varying sizes this summer. Jolly’s 13th District is considered one of Democrats’ best pickup opportunities of 2016.
“We asked women in Pinellas County to describe Congressman David Jolly in one word,” the ad’s narrator says. Then, it cuts to various women calling him: “Dangerous,” “backwards,” and “out of touch.”
