Dem Super PAC Spent Over $700,000 on Race, Including $600,000 on Airing TV Ad Promoting Brownley
Washington, D.C. – House Majority PAC, which spent over $700,000 on the California 26th District primary, including over $600,000 airing a TV ad supporting Democrat Julia Brownley, today congratulated Brownley on becoming the Democratic nominee.
“Congratulations to Julia Brownley on becoming the Democratic nominee in California’s 26th Congressional District,” said House Majority PAC Executive Director Alixandria Lapp. “This district represents a prime Democratic pick-up opportunity in the fall and we look forward to the race that Brownley will wage against her right-wing Republican opponent.”
Why is the 26th District a key Democratic pick-up opportunity in November?
- There are more registered Democrats than there are Republicans.
- The district has a solid Democratic performance index.
- The primary electorate leaned Republican, as it traditionally does, and the Republican candidate held a name identification advantage over other candidates – neither factor will hold true this fall.
