House Majority PAC Extends WV-03 Ad Campaign

April 24, 2014

Washington, D.C. – On the heels of a recent poll showing Congressman Rahall leading Evan Jenkins by 12 points, House Majority PAC today announced that it has extended its ad campaign by approximately $70,000 in the Charleston-Huntington and Bluefield-Beckley markets. Starting today, the next ad, entitled “Counting,” will begin airing.

This latest spot raises direct questions about why the Koch brothers are spending so much money to elect Evan Jenkins. The ad can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PTLHBrGpnOg

This echoes concerns raised by yesterday’s Charleston Gazette endorsement of Congressman Rahall for reelection. They wrote, “Can far-right billionaires drive Democrat Rahall from Congress? We pray not. The big money players trying to defeat Rahall don’t care about the lives and health of West Virginians. Congressman Rahall does.”

“Our most recent polls shows that the more House Majority PAC tells West Virginians about Evan Jenkins, his record, and the agenda of those billionaires supporting him, the less they like him,” said Matt Thornton, Communications Director for House Majority PAC. “Contrary to the narrative the Jenkins campaign is trying to push, we are committed to Rahall’s reelection, and the results of that commitment are apparent.”
