House Majority PAC Launches Advertising Campaign in CA-26

May 4, 2012

House Majority PAC today is announcing a six-figure paid advertising campaign in California’s 26th Congressional District.

The TV ad, entitled “Only One,” promotes Democrat Julia Brownley, who is in a competitive, multi-party race in advance of California’s nonpartisan, top-two primary on June 5. The ad begins running today and will continue for a week.

“When they go to the polls in November,” said Alixandria Lapp, Executive Director of House Majority PAC, “California voters deserve more than a choice between a right-wing state senator and a politically-expedient county supervisor who spent 14 years as a registered Republican before changing registration only months ago just as she announced her candidacy.”

This district includes much of the territory that was formerly represented by Rep. Elton Gallegly, who is retiring. It is a Democratic-leaning district and is a top California pickup opportunity for Democrats in November.
