House Majority PAC Launches August Ad Offensive Against Dan Lungren for Selling Out Middle Class
August 24, 2011
The House Majority PAC this week is running the second-round of its 6-figure paid advertising offensive on cable television over the August recess against House Republicans including Representative Dan Lungren for their misguided priorities and votes to sell out the middle class.
The latest ad campaign from the House Majority PAC comes as polling shows a record 82 percent of Americans now disapprove of the way Congress is handling its job. Just 14 percent of registered voters said that most members of Congress deserve reelection; 74 percent said that lawmakers don’t deserve another term. [New York Times/CBS News Poll, 8/4/11]. On August 12th, Gallup released its first 2012 congressional election survey in which Democrats are leading Republicans on the generic ballot by 7 points (51-44).
“The American people are disgusted with House Republicans like Representative Dan Lungren for their misguided priorities and votes to throw middle class families under the bus,” said Alixandria Lapp, Executive Director of House Majority PAC. “Whether it’s voting for tax loopholes to keep corporate profits sky high, protecting profits for companies that ship jobs to China, or ending Medicare as we know it, Representative Lungren has plenty to answer for back home this August recess.”
