House Majority PAC Launches Paid Offensive Against Rick Crawford for Gutting Medicare

Today the House Majority PAC is launching a paid advertising offensive against Representative Rick Crawford who recently voted to gut Medicare for our seniors to pay for trillions in new budget-busting tax breaks for millionaires and big corporations.

“Representative Rick Crawford is breaking the trust our country has with its seniors by ending Medicare as we know it, making them pay more for prescriptions drugs, and by forcing them to turn to the private health insurance market,” said Alixandria Lapp, Executive Director of House Majority PAC. “House Republicans like Rick Crawford have no problem asking Arkansas seniors, middle class families and veterans to make sacrifices, yet refuse to do the same for big corporations and millionaires who would receive trillions in new tax breaks.”

VO: It’s like a wrestling match gone horribly wrong.

And the people of Arkansas could be in for some serious hurt.

Just days ago, Rick Crawford voted for the Republican budget that’s going to body slam the middle class.

(SFX: Body slam, the crowd boos)

VO: It protects billions in subsidies for big oil and cuts taxes by trillions for the wealthiest Americans and big corporations.
But Crawford’s plan for middle class pain doesn’t stop there.

(SFX: Body slam, the crowd boos)

VO: Crawford voted to end Medicare as we know it. That’s right, end Medicare as we know it. Governor Beebe called the plan “simply unacceptable.”

Somebody needs to knock some sense into Rick Crawford.
