House Majority PAC Launches Wave of New Ads

October 18, 2016

Washington, D.C. – Today, House Majority PAC began airing seven new ads in six different districts – CA-21, ME-02, NY-01, NY-22, NV-03, and PA-08. The new ads underscore the extreme and out-of-touch records of the Republican candidates in each district.

CA-21 – HMP is releasing a pair of new Spanish and English-language ads in CA-21 – “’NO’ al Odio” and “Even” which will air on TV in the district as well as digital platforms. The ads hold Republican Congressman David Valadao accountable for saying he would “absolutely” support Trump after Trump degraded Latinos, women, veterans, countless other Americans and predicated his campaign on building a wall with Mexico.

ME-02 –  HMP’s latest ad in ME-02 continues taking Republican Congressman Bruce Poliquin to task for looking out for Wall Street multi-millionaires like himself instead of Mainers. Poliquin voted for a budget that would cut taxes for the super wealthy while cutting Medicare benefits for hard-working Maine families. The ad is airing on broadcast, cable, and digital platforms across the Bangor and Portland media markets.

NY-01 – “Threaten” holds Republican Congressman Lee Zeldin accountable for putting the NRA’s agenda before the safety of Long Island families – even when it comes to the NRA’s most radical positions. Zeldin’s radical record includes voting 24 times to block legislation that would prevent suspected terrorists on the FBI’s watch list from purchasing guns and voting against banning armor-piercing bullets. The new ad is currently airing on cable and digital platforms across NY-01.

NY-22 – HMP’s fifth ad in NY-22, “Trumpet,” continues to emphasize the out-of-touch records of both Republican-aligned candidates in NY-22. Albany career politician Claudia Tenney failed to look out for interests of Upstate New Yorkers in the state Assembly while ultra-conservative Martin Babinec has pledged to caucus with Republicans in Congress and wants to repeal the Affordable Care Act. The newest ad is airing on broadcast, cable, and digital platforms across NY-22.

NV-03 – “Hole” continues to remind voters about Republican nominee Danny Tarkanian’s long-standing shady ethical record. Tarkanian has skipped out on property taxes, represented telemarketing scammers, and helped set up fake charities. The ad is running on broadcast, cable, and digital platforms in the Las Vegas media market.

PA-08 – “Miles” spotlights how Brian Fitzpatrick was handpicked by Republican party leaders to run for Congress despite living nearly 3,000 miles away from Pennsylvania. It’s no wonder why – Fitzpatrick backs a radical Republican agenda – including defunding Planned Parenthood – just like his ticket-mate Donald Trump. The ad is now airing on broadcast, cable, and digital platforms in the Philadelphia media market.
