85% Increase in Cash-on-Hand from Previous Cycle
Washington, D.C. – Today, House Majority PAC announced that its end of year fundraising report will show that the organization raised over $14.7 million in 2017.
The report will also show that HMP enters 2018 with over $11.4 million cash-on-hand—85 percent more than it had heading into the 2016 election year.
House Majority PAC raised over $14.7 million in 2017 while in 2015, HMP raised $8 million—a $6.7 million increase from the last off-year. This money was raised from over 125,000 contributions while in 2015, HMP had over 72,000 donations.
“Thanks to a surge in grassroots participation and groundswell of support from investors across a broad spectrum of constituencies, House Majority PAC is starting 2018 in a very strong position,” said House Majority PAC Executive Director Charlie Kelly. “The stakes for working families are too high this election cycle and the incredible support we’ve received demonstrates how motivated people are to pushback against the GOP’s agenda. Thanks to a record effort last year, we will be able to do more in 2018 than ever before to help elect Democrats that are working to lift up middle-class families and combat Paul Ryan’s toxic agenda.”
House Majority PAC was founded in 2011. During the 2016 cycle, House Majority PAC spent $56 million and focused on leveraging resources and strategic investments to assist Democrats in winning critical races. In 2014, House Majority PAC spent $38 million.
