March 17, 2016
Washington, D.C. – Today, House Majority PAC announced that its most recent monthly fundraising report will show the organization with $10 million in receipts for the 2016 cycle. The totals for the cycle include more than 89,000 donations from over 33,000 donors.
The report will also show the group ending February with more than $7.6 million cash-on-hand – exceeding the group’s cash-on-hand at the same point during the 2014 and 2012 cycles.
The fundraising report covers February 1 through 29 during which the group raised over $1.1 million – including more than 8,100 unique online contributions from nearly 6,800 donors. House Majority PAC previously reported raising more than $1 million in January of this year and more than $8 million total in 2015 which was a record off-year showing by the organization.
“House Majority PAC is beginning 2016 stronger than ever before,” said Alixandria Lapp, the group’s founder and Executive Director. “Tens of thousands of Americans are investing in our efforts to elect solutions-oriented Democrats who will fight for the middle-class. We’re grateful for the unprecedented level of support and continuing commitment our donors have shown to this cause. Thanks to them, House Majority PAC will have the resources needed to take on the GOP’s outside groups and help elect Democrats across the country this fall.”
House Majority PAC was founded in 2011. During the 2014 cycle, House Majority PAC spent $38 million and focused on leveraging resources and strategic investments to assist Democrats in winning 11 of 12 races that were “too close to call” on Election night. House Majority PAC’s work has been called “impressive” and “devastatingly effective.”
