HOUSE MAJORITY PAC RELEASES GOTV DIGITAL AD IN GA-06

Washington, D.C. – Today, House Majority PAC, the leading super PAC for House Democrats, released a Get-Out-The-Vote digital ad, titled “Time,” ahead of the special election in GA-06. The spot staring Melissa Fumero and Stephanie Beatriz from “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” focuses on voter engagement and highlights the importance of participating in the special election on Tuesday, April 18th. “Time” was originally created partnering with JASH, an online comedy network, to expand GOTV efforts last cycle.

“Increasing voter awareness is critical ahead of the special election in GA-06,” said Charlie Kelly, HMP’s Executive Director. “This creative spot featuring Stephanie Beatriz and Melissa Fumero outlines the importance of voting and demonstrates how easy it can be to participate in our democratic process. With the help of some star power, HMP is working to make sure a broad, diverse electorate turns out to vote in GA-06 on Tuesday, April 18th.”

Melissa Fumero is currently a regular on the 2014 Golden Globe winning series, “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.” She previously was seen recurring on the CW’s hit series, “Gossip Girl” as well as in “The Mentalist” for CBS. On the big screen, she can be seen in the film, “I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell.” This feature film, based off the NY Times Best Selling Book, was directed by Bob Gosse. Melissa graduated from NYU with a degree in theatre and played “Adriana Cramer” on “One Life to Live.”

A versatile actress who thrives in both comedy and drama, Stephanie Beatriz is quickly making a name for herself in television and film. Beatriz can currently be seen in Fox’s critically acclaimed series “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” as Detective Rosa Diaz. Beatriz has been nominated for multiple awards in the category of “Best Supporting Actress in Television/Comedy Series.” In 2014, Latina Magazine included Beatriz in their Hollywood Hot List. She has also starred on number of hit shows including “Southland, “The Closer,” and “Modern Family” where she plays Sofia Vergara’s sister.
