House Majority PAC Statement On AK-AL Special Election Results

Washington, D.C. – House Majority PAC Executive Director Abby Curran Horrell issued the following statement after the results in Alaska’s At-Large Congressional District special election were released: 

“House Majority PAC congratulates Congresswoman-Elect Mary Peltola on her victory in the special election in Alaska’s At-Large Congressional District, and for making history as the first Alaska Native Member of Congress.

“The results from Alaska show that there is clear momentum behind Democrats’ sails, and that Republicans continuing to push and prioritize their extremist, out-of-touch policies over the needs of the American people are wildly unpopular. 

“A Democratic House Majority has consistently delivered for Americans, and with Republicans actively rooting against the economy, attempting to control our freedoms, and fighting for corporations over the middle class – the stakes could not be higher. That’s why House Majority PAC is doing whatever it takes to secure a Democratic House Majority in November.”
