October 4, 2013
Washington, D.C. – House Majority PAC announced today that it would run a television ad slamming Speaker John Boehner for throwing a temper tantrum that caused a shutdown of the federal government.
The ad, entitled “Temper Tantrum,” will air this Sunday in Speaker Boehner’s district during the Bengals-Patriots football game.
“Temper Tantrum” is available here: http://www.youtube.com/
“Speaker Boehner didn’t get his way and so, like a child, he threw a Tea Party-inspired temper tantrum and shut down the federal government,” said Andy Stone, Communications Director for House Majority PAC. “The American people are sick and tired of the intransigence and manufactured crises that have become all too common from Speaker Boehner and the House Republicans. Speaker Boehner should stop playing politics, end the nonsense and finally focus on the real-life consequences his government shutdown has caused Americans.”
The Boehner ad is part of a six-figure national multimedia campaign House Majority PAC launched in the districts of all nine of its GOP targets. Besides Speaker Boehner, the targeted Republican members are: Gary Miller (CA-31), Mike Coffman (CO-06), Rodney Davis (IL-13), Mike Fitzpatrick (PA-08), Michael Grimm (NY-11), Joe Heck (NV-03), Dave Joyce (OH-14), John Kline (MN-02) and Steve Southerland (FL-02).
