Sanford’s $400,000 In Taxpayer-Funded Travel Subject Of First HMP Spot

Washington, D.C. – House Majority PAC announced that it will begin a three-week, six-figure media campaign in South Carolina’s First District special election – and unveiled its first TV ad.

The ad, entitled “Air Sanford,” will begin airing this evening in both the Savannah and Charleston markets. “Air Sanford” can be viewed here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vClY–1h9wI

“Mark Sanford may claim to be a fiscal conservative, but as governor he flew around the world in high style – even jetting to the dentist and a hair dresser – and stuck South Carolinians with the $400,000 bill,” said Andy Stone, Communications Director for House Majority PAC. “The list of Mark Sanford’s transgressions, hypocrisy and duplicity is lengthy – but South Carolina voters’ memories are just as long.”

The Sanford campaign and the South Carolina Republican Party launched a negative TV spot today.
