House Majority PAC Unveils TV Spots Defending Arizona Reps. Kirkpatrick & Barber Against Deceptive Americans For Prosperity Attacks
January 16, 2014
Washington, D.C. – House Majority PAC today unveiled two new TV ads defending Democratic Reps. Kirkpatrick and Barber against misleading attacks from the Koch brothers-funded Americans for Prosperity. Beginning tomorrow, the ads will run for a week in Tucson and Phoenix at a cost of approximately $200,000.
“The billionaire Koch brothers have been spending freely to promote an agenda that is decidedly anti-family, anti-worker and anti-senior,” said Andy Stone, Communications Director for House Majority PAC. “House Majority PAC is standing up to make sure those misleading and deceptive attacks do not go unanswered.”
In AZ-01, “Listens” will run in Phoenix. It describes Rep. Kirkpatrick’s efforts to make sure health care works for Arizona families and businesses, including her fight to prevent Republicans from turning back the clock to the days when insurance companies were in charge of health care.

In AZ-02, “Billionaires” will run in Tucson. The spot outlines why the billionaire Koch brothers are funding attacks against Rep. Ron Barber: because Republican Martha McSally is in sync with their anti-Arizona, anti-middle class agenda to eliminate the minimum wage, privatize Social Security and risk the benefits seniors have earned on Wall Street.
