IL-06: House Majority PAC Congratulates Sean Casten
November 7, 2018
Washington, D.C. – House Majority PAC congratulates Representative-Elect Sean Casten on his victory in Illinois’ 6th Congressional District.
“Sean Casten will be a staunch advocate for Illinois families, helping small businesses create 21st century jobs, and expanding access to affordable health care. IL-06 voters rejected career politician Peter Roskam and his partisan, out-of-touch record,” said House Majority PAC Executive Director Charlie Kelly. “House Majority PAC is excited to have helped elect Sean Casten to Congress where he’ll always put the middle class first.”
Knowing this would be a costly and critical race in an expensive media market, House Majority PAC reserved airtime for the fall early – in March. HMP launched a TV ad in the Chicago media market, spotlighting Peter Roskam as a career politician who supported Donald Trump’s tax plan that increases health care costs on hardworking Illinois families and adds nearly $2 trillion to the national debt, with Roskam and his Republican allies in Washington threatening cuts to Medicare to pay for it.
HMP also had an 11-piece direct mail program, and in partnership with Priorities USA Action had a digital program, which slammed Roskam over his vote for the toxic tax plan that skyrockets the national debt.
