Jarrod Backous returns to House Majority PAC as Senior Political Desk

February 4, 2014

Washington, D.C. – House Majority PAC announced today that Jarrod Backous is returning to the organization as a senior political desk.

Backous was a political desk at House Majority PAC in 2012 during which he managed nearly $18 million worth of expenditures in 27 Congressional races nationwide. Of particular note, Backous oversaw House Majority PAC’s successful $2.4 million effort to defeat Allen West in FL-18. In between his two House Majority PAC stints, Backous spent 2013 as a campaign services director at the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.

“I’m thrilled that Jarrod has agreed to return to House Majority PAC for another cycle,” said Alixandria Lapp, Executive Director of House Majority PAC. “Jarrod has the smarts and strategic insight to serve House Majority PAC well as we hold Republicans accountable and take on GOP outside groups in competitive Congressional districts.”

“I’m excited to be back at House Majority PAC,” Jarrod Backous said. “In 2012, House Majority PAC helped win races by being efficient and effective, which is precisely what we’ll do again in 2014 as we fight back against spending from the Koch brothers and other right-wing organizations pushing reckless policies.
