MN-02: House Majority PAC Congratulates Angie Craig

November 7, 2018

Washington, D.C. – House Majority PAC congratulates Representative-Elect Angie Craig on her victory in Minnesota’s 2nd Congressional District.

“Tonight, Minnesotans have chosen to elect an inspiring business leader, rejecting Jason Lewis and his party-line votes for the toxic GOP agenda,” said House Majority PAC Executive Director Charlie Kelly. “House Majority PAC is proud to have played a part in ensuring that Angie Craig can champion commonsense solutions in Congress to grow Minnesota’s economy.”

After a competitive race in 2016, MN-02 emerged early on as a top pick-up opportunity in the 2018 cycle. Jason Lewis was vulnerable not merely for his history of highly offensive comments as a talk radio host but primarily because – as in other districts around the country – of his party-line record of supporting the toxic GOP economic agenda.

HMP ran a TV ad in the Minneapolis media market slamming Jason Lewis for taking nearly $1 million from special interests and voting for the GOP tax plan that gives massive tax breaks to the ultra-rich and adds nearly $2 trillion to the national debt. Additionally, HMP partnered with Priorities USA Action on a digital campaign that highlighted Lewis’ vote to give tax cuts to the ultra-rich while raising health care costs on hardworking families.

HMP and partner investments combined totaled the following in MN-02: $3,490,193
