New AR-02 Poll Shows Overwhelming Majority Doesn’t Think Tim Griffin Deserves Reelection
October 27, 2011
The House Majority PAC today released a new Public Policy Polling (PPP) poll that shows Representative Tim Griffin in serious jeopardy of losing reelection.
In Arkansas’ 2nd Congressional District, only 44% of voters would like to reelect Tim Griffin, while 49% would prefer someone else. Just 36% have a favorable opinion of the Republicans in Congress, with 53% holding a negative one. What’s more, when voters are asked to choose between voting for Tim Griffin or a Democratic challenger, just 44% chose Griffin while 45% chose a Democratic challenger.
“Republican incumbents such as Tim Griffin running in swing districts are in serious trouble and Republican control of the House is in serious jeopardy,” said Alixandria Lapp, Executive Director of the House Majority PAC. “Come next November, Arkansas voters will hold Griffin and House Republicans accountable for failing to fight for middle class families.”
Public Policy Polling conducted this survey on behalf of House Majority PAC between October 19th and 23rd. In AR-2 500 registered voters were interviewed with a margin of error of +/-4.4%. To learn more, visit the House Majority PAC website.
