New HMP Ad: Poliquin’s “Different Ideas” Don’t Match Maine’s Values

September 9, 2016

Washington, D.C. – Today, House Majority PAC released the group’s latest ad in the race for Maine’s Second Congressional District. The ad, titled, “Different Ideas,” takes Congressman Bruce Poliquin to task for his support of plans that would end the Medicare guarantee and raise the cost of prescription drug prices for seniors.

“Different Ideas” can be viewed online here.

“Coming from Wall Street, Congressman Poliquin may not care about the importance of Medicare and keeping down prescription drug prices, but his ideas certainly don’t match Mainers’ values,” said House Majority PAC Communications Director Jeb Fain. “Poliquin’s plans would come at a very real cost that too many Maine seniors and families just can’t afford.”

The ad begins airing in the Bangor and Portland media markets, today, Friday, September 9. “Different Ideas” is the third ad to run as part of a $700,000 airtime buy in the district which began on August 12. HMP previously aired the ads “Maine First” and “Fit In” as part of the current airtime buy.

Previously, HMP also made reservations of $600,000 in the Portland media market, $300,000 in the Bangor media market, and $23,000 in the Presque Isle media market for later this fall.
