New HMP Poll: JoAnna Mendoza Leads Juan Ciscomani in AZ-06

Washington, D.C. – A new House Majority PAC poll in Arizona’s 6th Congressional District, conducted by Normington, Petts & Associates from June 8 to June 11, finds Democratic candidate JoAnna Mendoza leading Republican Rep. Juan Ciscomani.
Key findings from HMP’s poll include:
- Mendoza leads in AZ-06: In a head-to-head matchup, Mendoza leads Ciscomani 47% to 45%.
- Mendoza’s lead expands as voters learn more. Mendoza leads 52% to 44% after voters hear balanced information about both candidates.
- Ciscomani is underwater in the district: Ciscomani’s favorability rating stands at just 29% favorable to 46% unfavorable, including 30% very unfavorable.
- Trump is underwater in AZ-06: Trump’s favorability stands at 42% favorable / 53% unfavorable in AZ-06.
- Voters consistently reject Ciscomani’s record. The survey tested messages about Ciscomani’s record in Congress and found broad concern across a range of issues:
- 52% are less likely to vote for Ciscomani after learning about his support for tariffs.
- 48% are less likely to vote for Ciscomani after learning about his support for legislation that could result in hundreds of thousands of Arizonans losing health coverage.
- 48% are less likely to vote for Ciscomani after learning about his support for Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill and tariffs that are driving up household costs.
- 46% are less likely to vote for Ciscomani after learning he took contributions from defense contractors and then voted for the war in Iran.
- 52% are less likely to vote for Ciscomani after learning about his support for tariffs.
