New HMP Polling Shows Rob Bresnahan Trailing Paige Cognetti in PA-08 

Washington, D.C. – House Majority PAC released the results of its survey of PA-08, looking at a matchup between GOP Rep. Rob Bresnahan and Scranton Mayor Paige Cognetti. 

HMP’s poll found:

• Paige Cognetti leads Rob Bresnahan in a head-to-head matchup: When PA-08 constituents were asked to choose between Paige Cognetti and Rob Bresnahan, 45% said they would vote for Paige Cognetti and 43% said they would vote for Rob Bresnahan. 
   
• Rob Bresnahan’s approval rating is underwater: 32% approve of Rob Bresnahan’s job performance, while 47% said they disapprove.
   
• PA-08 Concerned About Bresnahan’s Stock Trading: 54% of PA-08 voters have seen, heard, or read about Rob Bresnahan’s stock trades, and 64% have serious concerns about Bresnahan’s broken promise on congressional stock trading.
   
• Secret Helicopter Scandal: 59% of PA-08 voters have serious concerns about Rob Bresnahan buying a private helicopter and trying to keep it secret from the public.
