New TV Ad in MI-08 Exposes the Real Mike Bishop

Washington, DC – Today, House Majority PAC launched a new TV ad that spotlights the clear choice facing voters in MI-08.  Mike Bishop is just another career politician who’s part of the problem in Washington while Elissa Slotkin has served and protected our country. 

In Congress, Mike Bishop took over $200,000 from insurance interests, and voted for a disastrous health care bill that hurts Michiganders. The bill would take away health care coverage from 23 million Americans, gut protections for people living with pre-existing conditions, and impose a devastating “Age Tax” on older Americans. According to AARP, the “Age Tax” would allow insurance companies to charge people aged 50-64 up to five times more than younger consumers.

“That Same Year” begins running on cable and broadcast today in the Lansing media market with a buy of over $170,000 behind it.

 “You can tell a candidate’s real priorities by looking at what they’ve actually done, and the difference between Mike Bishop’s and Elissa Slotkin’s records couldn’t be clearer,” said House Majority PAC Press Secretary Hannah Blatt. “While Elissa Slotkin served our country – working to keep us safe – Mike Bishop looked out for himself and his special interest donors as a career politician.
