New TV Ad Spotlights Faso’s Shameless Lie
October 9, 2018
Washington, DC – Today, House Majority PAC launched a new TV ad that takes John Faso to task over breaking his promise to a woman with a pre-existing condition. The ad tells the moving story of a constituent with a brain tumor who confronted John Faso last year to share her experience of being kicked off of health insurance. She pleaded with Faso to promise to vote against any bill that took away coverage from people or gutted protections for people living with pre-existing conditions. Faso gave her his promise.
47 days later, John Faso broke his promise when he cast the deciding vote in committee for the disastrous GOP health care bill. Faso then went on to vote for this devastating bill again on the House floor.
“Promise” begins running on cable and broadcast today in the Albany media market and on cable in the New York City media market with a buy of approximately $741,000 behind it.
“A constituent with a brain tumor was courageous enough to speak out and share her health care story with her Congressman – and that Congressman, John Faso, lied right to her face,” said House Majority PAC Press Secretary Hannah Blatt. “Faso cemented his toxic record in the most shameless way – breaking his promise and becoming the deciding vote on this disastrous health care bill. Faso made it clear he’s a totally dishonest politician who will say one thing in New York, and then stand by his party and their agenda in Washington over the hardworking families he’s supposed to represent. Voters just can’t trust John Faso.”
