New York Daily News: Democrats Eye Abortion Issue as a Winning Ticket for 2024

August 14, 2023

New York, NY – In case you missed it, a recent landslide win for abortion rights in Ohio and similar results from states across the nation showed that voters remain motivated with abortion on the ballot, and limiting abortion access is deeply unpopular among a majority of Americans.

New York Democrats and abortion rights advocates are pushing for an equal rights amendment that would codify abortion in the state. Meanwhile, the NY Republican Congressional delegation is pushing a radical anti-abortion agenda.

“Extremist Republicans Nick LaLota, George Santos, Anthony D’Esposito, Mike Lawler, Marc Molinaro, and Brandon Williams continue to remain loyal to their party’s fringe MAGA agenda to outlaw abortion nationally,” HMP NY Press Secretary Alisha Heng said. “New Yorkers have sent a clear message that they unequivocally support the right to abortion access, and HMP will kick these extreme NY GOPers to the curb in 2024.”
