NJ-11: House Majority PAC Congratulates Mikie Sherrill
November 7, 2018
Washington, D.C. – House Majority PAC congratulates Representative-Elect Mikie Sherrill on her victory in New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District.
“As a Navy Pilot and former prosecutor, Mikie Sherrill served her country, and now House Majority PAC is thrilled that she’s going to Congress to continue to serve and fight for the hardworking people of New Jersey,” said House Majority PAC Executive Director Charlie Kelly. “She’ll be a staunch advocate for the middle class – working to expand access to affordable, quality health care and lower taxes for hardworking families.”
In the fall, HMP launched two TV ads on cable in the district. The ads, running in tandem, showcased how embarrassingly out-of-touch Republican candidate Jay Webber was with hardworking New Jersey families on issues ranging from taxes to women’s rights and marriage equality.
HMP launched a summer digital program slamming Webber for supporting the GOP tax plan, which raises taxes on the middle class while giving massive tax breaks to the ultra-rich. In the fall, HMP also partnered with Priorities USA Action on a digital program that highlighted Webber’s support for the GOP tax plan and Congressional Republicans’ plans to make deep cuts to Medicare and Social Security in order to pay for it.
HMP’s campaign in NJ-11 also included a ten-piece direct mail program informing voters of Jay Webber’s support for the GOP tax plan, focusing in particular on how the plan slashed the State and Local Tax (SALT) deduction.
