NY-19: House Majority PAC Congratulates Antonio Delgado
November 7, 2018
Washington, D.C. – House Majority PAC congratulates Representative-Elect Antonio Delgado on his victory in New York’s 19th Congressional District.
“Voters made it clear that they’re ready for a change. They rejected John Faso, his broken health care promises, and Republicans’ false and desperate political tactics. Instead, voters have elected Antonio Delgado who will be the champion that Upstate New Yorkers need,” said House Majority PAC Executive Director Charlie Kelly. “In Washington, Delgado will fight for his community and his constituents – working to expand affordable access to health care and create an economy that lifts up the middle class. We are thrilled to have played a key role in helping Antonio Delgado get to Congress, where he’ll be a strong advocate for Upstate New Yorkers.”
John Faso’s out-of-touch record and broken promise to protect people with pre-existing conditions meant that this seat was a top pick-up opportunity, and House Majority PAC made a significant investment.
HMP ran a comprehensive campaign to defeat John Faso. It included TV ads, radio ads, a digital program, and direct mail. HMP aired three TV ads centered around Faso’s health care vote. Two of the ads highlighted Faso’s promise to a constituent to defend people with pre-existing conditions, which he then broke by becoming the deciding vote in committee for the GOP health care bill, which gutted protections for people with pre-existing conditions. Radio ads, as well as a digital program run in partnership with Priorities USA Action, also focused on Faso’s health care vote. On top of this, HMP ran a multi-piece direct mail program.
